Uncle Grant came to visit in January. You can't see his face, but
I had a good time watching Shrek with my face on his foot.
The highlight of the winter was our trip to California in January.
First stop: San Diego. I was sick, but we went to SeaWorld anyway. We couldn't visit Uncles Flynn &
Evan & not do anything! My favorite thing was the manatee exhibit.
Hey Mom, this manatee is clean enough to kiss . . . right?
During the dolphin show, Flynn let me borrow his shades. Boy, don't
I look cool?
After mom's race, we headed for Ridgecrest to visit my Uncle Jeff, Uncle
Chris, Aunt Maggie, and most importantly, my new cousin, Ellie. Somehow we didn't manage to get many pictures of anybody,
but we did get one of us with Ellie. Isn't she cute? Must run in the family . . .
I really liked Journey, although I'm not so sure she was quite as fond
of me.
Here I am with Aunt Maggie.
They took us to the museum on base, and I got to see some really cool planes.
Here I am sitting on the wing of a jet.
And here I am, hanging from the front of another one! You can't tell,
but my feet were about 3 feet off the ground.
Next, we headed for Moorpark to visit my cousins, Josh & Jeremy.
We went to the beach in Ventura. Look at all the sticks that had washed up from the rainstorms!
Here we are, playing with some trucks. Later, Josh tried to build
a sandcastle, but Jeremy & I drove him crazy knocking it down.
After the beach, we had lots of sand in our hair!
While we were in LA, Jeremy & I went to Disneyland. We really
liked this sphere. I tried to drink some of the water from it -- yuck!
Here I am, on Uncle Flynn's shoulders, outside Fantasyland.
Riding the carousel . . .
Meeting Buzz Lightyear. He was a little intimidating when we got
up close.
Last, we headed back to San Diego, where I got to hang out with Uncles
Flynn & Evan.
We went to Balboa Park, and Flynn bought me an ice cream. What a
mess! I was a little territorial with it, too. Just ask Uncle Evan.
Playing by the fountain, where I washed my hands off.
We got home just in time to celebrate my 3rd birthday. I begged mom
to make me train cake (again!).
Hmmmm. This looks a lot like the photo from my 2nd birthday.
Except, I'm a little bigger and the cake is a little smaller (mom & dad learned their lesson about cake & puke).
